AbstractThe aim of the study was to determine the influence of physical workspace on employee performance at NG-CDF, Taita Taveta County, Kenya. The theory anchored the variables of this study are Person-Environment Fit Theory. The target population was 32 NG-CDF committee staff and 76 PMC staff in the four constituencies of Taita Taveta County namely Voi, Taveta, Mwatate, and Wundanyi. A census was carried out, entailing the participation of all NG-CDF committee personnel and Project Management Committee staff members. The data for this study was gathered utilizing a standardized questionnaire with closed-ended questions. A pilot study involved eleven respondents, or 10% of the sample population. The major descriptive statistics to be used are mean and standard deviation. The findings reasoned that Physical Workspace has a positive and significant influence on employee performance (r = 0.379; P-value < 0.05). The study concludes that availability of Physical Workspace at National Government CDF, Taita Taveta County, Kenya. By ensuring the office, there was good flow of air, this enhances employee concentration. The study recommends NG-CDF, Taita Taveta County to embrace flexible work arrangements such as remote work, flextime, and compressed workweeks where applicable. This can help reduce the need for extensive physical workspace and accommodate a diverse range of employee needs.
